about folio contact

While always being a creative and artistic individual, I never was interested in the digital arts until I got Adobe Photoshop 7 in the late 90’s. Then I was introduced into a whole new world of creative possibilities. I was slowly introduced to the rest of the Adobe and (then) Macromedia family of digital media tools, and taught myself how to use them. I am now highly fluent in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS3, and have a working knowledge of the rest of the Creative Suite.

It was not until 2004 that I decided to seriously consider a career in the digital arts and graphic design, and decided to take my skills to the next level and enrolled in the Graphic Design program at West Texas A&M University. There I was free to further enhance my skills and learn some new ones. While my main focus was in Graphic Design and Computer Art, I also had quite a good time painting with oils and acrylics, printmaking, and ceramics.

In one of my drawing classes I created my Transitions series, a set of mixed media abstract pieces, which ended up being my first works sold for real money as an artist! A portion of that series is featured on my site.

In May of 2008 I graduated from WT A&M with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and now have an even greater appreciation for the world of design and typography. I find myself analyzing everything I see in print, packaging, clothing and more.

Now a recent graduate, I look forward to this next chapter and I hope to keep you updated through this website on my next creative journey.
